WHO ICD-11: depathologization of trans identities

With ICD-11, the WHO moved "gender incongruence" out of the chapter on mental disorders into a new chapter on sexual health — a milestone of depathologization. Adopted by the World Health Assembly on May 25, 2019, in force from January 1, 2022. (The counterpart to the removal of homosexuality in 1990.)
